Next meeting Not Decided

Nobody had any ideas for July, so I don't know if we are meeting or not. We can always meet here, the gardens are pretty--but there wasn't much interest in that last year--people are busy with other things and on vacay and stuff, so I'm not sure what to do. If anyone has ideas, let's hear them. I want to head to Wavecrest sometime soon, so we can have a PIE day if anyone else wants to go along. Other than that I don't have any ideas. Let me know if anybody gets a brainwave.

ABOUT US

Dirty Hands Happy Souls Garden Club was founded in March 2010.  Our intent is to be a casual, friendly group of Gardeners who share their love of gardening as a pastime or a profession.  Education is our main focus, with information available to interest gardeners at all levels.  Subjects will cover all forms and aspects of gardening; from ornamental indoor and outdoor plants to edible plants of all kinds; as well as topics like water quality, soil management, garden art and wildlife habitat.  We meet the first Tuesday of each month at 7 pm. Meetings take place at various locations, although our main headquarters is at a home in Lakeville.  If you wish to inquire about attending a meeting, please email dirtyhandshappysouls@yahoo.com and ask Bobbi for information.  Annual dues are 20.00 per year.
As of June 2, 2010, we are a federated member of the Garden Club of Indiana, Inc.and thereby the National Garden Clubs, Inc.  This is a wonderful umbrella organization which offers an opportunity to expand the activities and reach of our own club into something larger.  There are links on the home page to both the National and State organizations that explain them very well.  The site "Learn2Grow", which is also linked on the home page is also sponsored by this organization.
So if you are a member of the gardening fraternity that unites us all, we encourage you to check us out.  The group is very young and still developing, and we would be thrilled to have your creative input.  We encourage active participation by all members and want to meet you and benefit from what you have learned over the years, or teach you what we can pass along.
We don't give out prizes for who comes to a meeting wearing the grimiest jeans or with  the most dirt under their fingernails, but we hold both attributes in the highest honor.
We hope to meet you soon!
